Rooted Well Counseling is an out of network provider and is considered private pay at this time. A superbill can be provided for possible reimbursement with your insurance company.

Therapy can be beneficial for anyone and everyone. It is an opportunity to grow as an individual, as parents or as a family. It can support you in developing new coping skills, improve communication patterns, establish healthy boundaries, develop new perspectives and increase self-esteem.
Therapy can assist you with a variety of presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, unresolved trauma, grief, and everyday stressors.

It can be difficult to provide an exact number of sessions, but research suggest a minimum of 8-12 sessions, depending on your presenting concerns.
We will discuss this process during our first intake session. You can expect to start with weekly sessions. However, if this is finically difficult, we can discuss what might be a better approach for you.

Therapy is a quality investment in yourself, your child or your family. At this time, rates are $170 per session.
Each session is 45 minutes.
FSA and HSA accounts are accepted.
Superbills for possible reimbursement with your insurance can be provided.

A superbill, also known as a Statement for Insurance Reimbursement, is a document that clinicians can give to their clients to be reimbursed by insurance payers. This document is similar to a statement, but it provides additional information, such as CPT codes and primary diagnosis codes.
Rooted Well Counseling can provide the superbill, but will not comunicate with your insurance for possible reimbursement.

The first session will be with parent(s) or caregivers only to discuss presenting concern, expectations, policies and goals.
The following sessions will be with child and therapist. Parent check ins will be scheduled as necessary.
I ask that parents or caregivers will be present on the premise for children 12 and under.

It is simple! Call Mari Kidd at 713-510-3101 or click here to request an appointment. From there we will schedule a consultation call to talk about the counseling process and how it can support your needs. Then we will schedule the intake appointment.

The intake appointment is the very first appointment where we either meet in person or virtually after the initial phone consultation. We will go over the completed intake paperwork you filled out electronically prior to the session. Then, we will create meaningful goals and discuss hopes for the healing process.

Confidentiality protects the information discussed in session between client and therapist by law.
However, there are some exceptions required by law to this rule. Exceptions include:
Suspected child abuse, dependent adult, or elder abuse. The therapist is required to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person.
If a client intends to harm themselves. The therapist will make every effort to work with the individual to ensure their safety. However, if an individual does not cooperate, additional measures may need to be taken.
Some court related issues.
Abuse from another mental health professional.
As your child's parent or legal guardian, you have the right to their information throughout the counseling process. However, therapy works best for children if they feel a sense of privacy and trust with their therapist. I will help maintain this balance between privacy and disclosure. I will alert you if your child discloses any active suicidal ideation or homicidal ideation. I will also assess any safety concerns that parents should be aware of.
